Rules and Guidelines​

Welcome to Nelly’s Playground! To ensure that all our guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience, we have established the following rules and guidelines. Please read them carefully, as they contain important information about your party booking, safety requirements, and other essential details.

1. General Booking Information

  • Private Parties: All parties at Nelly’s Playground are private. This means that during your scheduled time, you will have exclusive access to the entire facility.

  • Booking Confirmation: A $200 non-refundable retainer is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 30 minutes before the party ends.

  • A 10% service fee will be added to your final bill.

  • Gratuity for your party host is not included. We recommend a cash tip of 10-20% for our staff as a token of appreciation for their hard work.

2. Party Packages

  • Our party packages can be upgraded to fit your needs. Any upgrades must be discussed and confirmed a week before your party. Once you decide to upgrade your party package, keep in mind you cannot downgrade afterwards.

  • All party packages are set to a certain number of kids and adults. If you exceed that number, it is $29 per extra child, included 2 adults.

  • We can substitute empty child spot for adult, but not cannot substitute to empty adult spot for child.

3. Time Slots & Scheduling

  • WEEKENDS: for scheduling inquiries call us or send email.

  • Only party host can arrive 15 min prior the party for any extra set up. Guest arriving at designated party start time.

  • First 90 min the play area is fully open 

  • Last 30 min for cake to be served and wrapping up. Play area is closed.

  • Late Arrival: Please arrive on time. Due to other parties and staffing schedules, we won't be able to accommodate late arrival, therefore, your party may forfeit time.

  • Late Departure: Your party is designed for 2 hours only. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our guests, we kindly ask that all parties conclude on time. This allows us to properly clean and prepare for the next celebration. If a party exceeds the reserved time, a late departure fee of $40 for every 15 min will be applied. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! 

4. Food & Beverages

  • Outside Food: You may bring certain outside foods such as pizza, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, individually wrapped chips, cake, cupcakes, and other sweets. Ice cream and smash cakes are not allowed. Plug-in appliances and food warmers are prohibited.

  • Bringing in your own food and drinks, requires you to bring your own plates, napkins, utensils, cups, etc.

  • Catering: We offer assistance for our catering services, call or email us. If you wish to use your own catering company, a $ 100 fee applies.

  • Outside drinks: you may bring additional drinks for your guests (juice, water, soda). No alcohol allowed.

  • All food and drink must be consumed in designed party room area only. Food and drink are prohibited in play area.

5. Decorations

  • Permitted Decorations: Only free-standing decorations are allowed. This includes helium balloons, table centerpieces, and other items that do not require attachment to walls or ceilings.

  • Prohibited Decorations: Pinatas, glitter, confetti, silly string, balloon arches, and backdrops that need to be taped or attached to walls are not allowed.

  • Custom Decorations: If you would like custom decorations, such as personalized backdrops or themed decor, please contact us in advance to discuss options and pricing. Send inspiration pictures before the party to receive an estimate.

  • Table Setup: We provide a kids’ table with chairs, two 6-foot tables for adults with 12 chairs, a 6-foot dessert table, a 6-foot food table. All tables are covered with plastic tablecloths. 5x7 foot “Happy Birthday” backdrop behind the dessert table.

6. Entertainment

  • Third-Party Entertainment: Any third-party entertainment, such as clowns, magicians, or performers, must be approved by the party coordinator prior to booking. Face-painting is not allowed.

  • Music: We provide YouTube access through our speaker system. You may also bring your own Bluetooth speaker if you prefer your own music selection.

7. Safety Guidelines

  • Party host will be held fully responsible for any damages incurred during the event, whether by the host or any guests. Additionally, the host must ensure that all children are supervised at all times during the event. Nelly’s Playground staff are present to assist but are not responsible for supervising children

  • Waivers: A waiver must be signed for every child under 18 years old. Children under 12 months must be signed on waiver but will not be counted towards your headcount. The party host is responsible for ensuring all waivers are completed before the party begins.

  • Socks Required: Socks are mandatory for all children and adults on the play area. If anyone forgets to bring socks, they can be purchased for $2 at the playground.

  • Equipment Use: The playground equipment is designed for children aged 0-7. Older children may use the equipment with some restrictions. Adults are not permitted on any play equipment.

8. Additional Guidelines

  • Cleanliness: Please help us keep the playground clean. No food or drinks are allowed in the play area. We recommend using the tables provided for all eating and drinking.

  • Strollers are not allowed in the play area.

  • Damages: The party host is responsible for any damages to the facility or equipment caused by the party guests. Please report any accidents or damages to the staff immediately.

  • Lost & Found: Nelly’s Playground is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please check the area carefully before leaving.

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Once you book your party using our online reservation system, you will receive confirmation by email. We will not call you unless there is an issue with your reservation. A retainer is required to make a reservation. The amount of the retainer will be determined by the reservation system based on the dollar amount of the party you have reserved and will be determined by the reservation system. Party time slots will not be held without retainer for any reason. Your retainer is non-refundable when there are 14 days or less to your party date. Your retainer is refundable MINUS a $50 Processing and Loss of Business fee if there are 15 days or more remaining to your party date. Cancellations must be requested in writing by replying to all on your party invoice email. Refunds take 10-15 business days to process.

  • You may receive an email with your remaining balance due - please be aware that it is only estimated balance and has not included 10% service fee or any other add on.

  • Please not that gratuity is not included in price or in service fee. However, a cash tip of 10-20% is greatly appreciated and should be given directly to our staff at the time of service.
